The eQuality Scholarship Collaborative recently awarded more than $100,000 to deserving LGBTQ graduating high school and community college transfer students from northern and central California. At left are the recipients of this year's scholarships. The program began in 1989 by PG&E's LGBT employee resource group, now known as PG&E PrideNetwork. The member organizations have expanded and in addition to PG&E now include Kaiser Permanente, Genentech, KPMG, Out and Equal Workplace Advocates, Gender and Sexualities Network, and the Horizons Foundation. Applications for the next round of scholarships are now being accepted, and the deadline to apply will be in early February.
