As forces around the world, and in our own country, continue to work to take away our civil rights and liberties, our humanity, and oftentimes, our very lives, the very act of existing and coming out as our authentic an d true selves becomes more and more revolutionary and lifesaving for many who do not yet have a voice or whose voices have been silenced." Other LGBT community leaders honored by Khanna included Josh Selo, Philippe Rey, Roark Clayton, Gabrielle Antolovich, Thaddeus Campbell, Lance Moore, John Nguyen-Cleary, and Wiggsy Sivertsen.
