San Francisco Mayor Mark Farrell formally kicked off Pride Month Monday, June 4, with the traditional raising of the rainbow flag at City Hall. Bay Area Reporter publisher emeritus Thomas E. Horn, left, and gay District 8 Supervisor Jeff Sheehy did the honors, and were joined by other officials. Monday was also Kate Kendell Day, in recognition of the work done by the outgoing executive director of National Center for Lesbian Rights.
