This week's wedding announcements include Ralph Lindsey and Philip Carrizosa and Jeffrey Cilione and Gustavo Vazquez-Sandoval.

Ralph Lindsey and Philip Carrizosa

Ralph K. Lindsey Jr. and G. Philip R. Carrizosa were married Saturday, November 1, 2008, at 6:30 p.m. at Terra Gallery on Rincon Hill overlooking downtown San Francisco.

More than 75 friends and relatives attended the ceremony, which was officiated by retired Court of Appeal Justice Joanne Parrilli.

Mr. Lindsey, 44, and Mr. Carrizosa, 56, met in May 1996 and had a commitment ceremony in October 1997 at San Francisco's Palace Hotel. Mr. Lindsey's career has been in biotech sales and marketing but he is currently studying to become a nurse, specializing in the treatment of patients with HIV and hepatitis C.

Mr. Carrizosa was a newspaper reporter and editor for 24 years before joining the administrative office of the courts in 2004 as a writer, editor of publications and, most recently, as a spokesman for his agency.

In attendance were best man, James Goldsmith of Brussels, Belgium; Mr. Lindsey's sisters, Madeline Lindsey-Forde of North Carolina and her husband, Garth, and children, Cameron and Anika; Joyce Thomas of Maryland; Mr. Carrizosa's sister, Alma Carrizosa of Pacifica; as well as other relatives and friends.

The ceremony was a mixture of civil and religious elements, reflecting the couple's deep faith. Mr. Lindsey is an active member of Glide Memorial Methodist Church while Mr. Carrizosa is an acolyte and lector at Most Holy Redeemer Parish.

Jeffrey Cilione and Gustavo Vazquez-Sandoval

Jeffery J.O. Cilione and Gustavo A. Vazquez-Sandoval were married on October 27, 2008 in San Francisco's City Hall. Deputy marriage commissioner Suzanne Switala officiated the ceremony.

The couple dated briefly seven years prior. They were reintroduced, in a literary setting, two and a half years ago and have been inseparable ever since.

Mr. Cilione, 51, (originally a New Yorker) moved around the East Coast a bit before settling in San Francisco in 1999. He works as a barber at Joe's Barbershop in the Castro. Mr. Vazquez-Sandoval, 50, left his hometown of Juarez, Mexico to eventually settle in San Francisco in 2000. Mr. Vazquez-Sandoval works for the Hilton Hotels.

The civil ceremony was witnessed and attended by a number of close friends. It was followed by a luncheon at Max's Opera Plaza (because nothin' screams reception like deli).
