Brian Bannon, left, and Aaron Briggs look at the plans for the renovations of the Eureka Valley/Harvey Milk Branch Library during the closing party Saturday, March 1. The branch library is expected to be closed until 2009. Seismic strengthening and expanding accessibility for people with disabilities are primary reasons for the project, which will cost about $5.4 million. The funds are part of a $106 million bond measure approved by San Francisco voters.
