Who says things are slowing down in the city? As you remember, Girdle Boy, the ex-manager of The Cinch Saloon (1723 Polk St.), and an accomplice unceremoniously removed my portrait last year. My fans and supporters did not stand for it, and flooded the bar with complaints. Bob, the owner, has very graciously asked if I would once again honor the bar with my photographic presence. I am happy to invite you to join me for the installation of my latest portrait on Sat., Feb. 6 at 1 p.m. sharp. I plan on having Emperor Steven Rascher or Coy and Sal spring me from my current abode.

It sounds like Marlena's (488 Hayes St.) is getting a run for its money. My spies tell me that Cookie Dough (formerly of Orphan Andy's fame) held her Monster Party at The Cinch last Friday. The whole event ended with a Midnight celebration of Pollo Del Mar's birthday. I hope this isn't a split in the drag community. While Marlena's has been holding firm with the Imperial Council crowd, the more daring acts have been popping up at The Cinch. I am counting on the Ducal Baby, Miss Kyra, to show that the Imperials still have some fun, edgy tricks up their sleeves.

I hear that right across the street from Emperor Steven Rascher's old Lily's Bar (4 Valencia St.), now known as Martuni's, is a very popular new hot spot called the Triple Crown (1760 Market St.). Doesn't that bring images of stallions and other big things to mind? Drop in for their happy hour featuring $3 draft beers and well drinks, and buy one/get one half-off appetizers from 5:30-9 p.m. If you stay up late, hang around for one of the fabulous parties featuring Bebe Sweetbriar and the very sexy DJ Pornstar.

Just around the corner you can catch my sister Ronnie Lynn working at The Deco Lounge (510 Larkin St.) on Mondays and Tuesdays from 2-8 p.m. I don't think I have to remind you that bad boy Brent works that same shift on the weekends. I'm sure Jimmy Dean and Scotty will be happy to have their old friend back at their favorite dive. If you remember, The Deco was the endpoint for the old Bar Wars. Is this a sign that Gladys Bumps and Ms. Lynn will be leading a group of queens through the Tenderloin sometime soon? Get em, girls!

My email address did not make it into the last column. Email your dish to Otherwise, I wouldn't be able to warn Maxine that it sounds like Miss Maggy might be coming down to visit soon and the high-maintenance queen wants a chilled glass! I also want to wish Cat a very happy birthday. Have a great time and come visit soon to tell me all about it.
